This experiment uses a closed off syringe to provide a gas container where the volume can be measured.  Multiple weights can be added to pull the syringe’s plunger.  By changing the weight and noting the volume of air in the syringe a plot of the inverse volume against the pressure can be made.


The diameter of the plunger can be measured using a micrometer screw gauge.
