Magnetic flux

This experiment determines the magnetic field due to four permanent magnets by measuring the force on a current carrying wire.  The wire is held in position so the generated force presses down on the scales.  The current can be varied allowing the force to be plotted against the current.  The gradient of this graph can be used to calculate the magnetic field strength.

This is one of the AQA required Physics activities.
